HUGO "I Made It Bold" Before & After Coffee Mug

On one side, a line of Rock-town lizards shuffles toward the counter — hollow-eyed, slack-jawed, one of them face down and not getting up. At the middle stands Antonio, the colony's cook, holding out a fresh cup with the serenity of a lizard who has already had three. Come round the other side and they're transformed: upright, tails high, grinning, each clutching a tiny espresso.

Antonio does not measure. Antonio makes it bold.

His machine is worth a look too. Every HUGO invention is built from what the sea washes up, and the espresso rig is no exception — driftwood lashed with rope, salvaged cogs and pulleys, a chain, a tin can, and a plastic bottle doing something structurally important.

HUGO follows a colony of blue lizards living inside the Faraglioni rocks off Capri, and Hugo, their restless little inventor, who builds flying machines out of seaside junk trying to reach an island he can see but never touch.
