Hugo builds flying machines out of whatever the sea washes up. Wooden spars, rope lashings, sailcloth stitched from scraps, bottle caps riveted on as patches. Then he jumps off a rock. It has never once gone to plan. He has never once been put off.

HUGO follows a colony of blue lizards living inside the Faraglioni rocks off Capri, and Hugo, their restless little inventor, who builds flying machines out of seaside junk trying to reach an island he can see but never touch.
